New regulations about sanction administrative

violations in journalism, publishing 

The Government has issued Decree No. 119/2020/NĐ-CP dated Oct 07, 2020

provides for administrative penalties  for violations arising in journalism, publishing.

This Decree provides for wrongful acts, forms and amounts of penalties, remedies

for consequences resulting from violations, authority to give penalty notices and

authority to impose administrative penalties in the realm of journalism and

publishing.

According to article 15 Decree No. 119/2020/NĐ-CP, Violation against regulations

regarding import or export of journalistic products, if traders import journalistic

products without registering the list of imported newspapers with the Ministry of

Information and Communications before importing them, they will get the penalty

from 3,000,000 VND- 5,000,000 VND.

According to Article 30 Decree No. 119/2020/NĐ-CP, violation against regulations

regarding export and import of publications, if traders import non-commercial

publications without import license, they can get penalty  from  10,000,000 CND –

20,000,000 VND.

This Decree takes effect from December 01, 2020.
